Considering Mindset, Attitude, Commitment, Balance and Success

While starting your home based business there are many issues to consider. One is Mind Set.

Success is all about having the right mindset. With the right mindset you can achieve anything. Success is very often a short-lived high. People arrive at the goal line in life, look into the end zone and discover that it contains many of the things that money will buy, but it contains very little of what money won't buy. Success doesn’t always mean winning. There are other ways to win, rather than winning "the game". Being successful is all about what you want to happen and what you choose to make out of your success. Being successful is every person's dream. Every one of us wants to be successful in our career, family and in our total being. Being successful is a skill you can learn.

Using Google Search it is helpful to research rapidily information on small business plans. Keep your priorities straight: Work with a plan … time and money is spent to make any business successful and you will have a limit of each. Develop a Goal, a real reason WHY you decided to work your home business. Then what are you willing to spend in the way of time and money. I find that all to often those that invest a very small amount of money into their business also invest very little efferent, time or real commitment. And as failure comes …. Attitude slips.

The best way to improve your attitude is to become the most knowledgeable person there is about what you are selling as well as who you are selling it to. Additionally, you should be aware of your competition and not just their downfalls, look at what they are doing right and if it can give your business a better chance of success, you may want to incorporate it into your business
plan.Understanding the needs of your customers and being proactive in meeting those needs can also help you succeed. When people see something they did not know they needed or wanted until you showed it to them, they can become an appreciative as well as repeat customer. You can accomplish this by watching trends in your line of work and staying a step or two ahead of the competition.
Make a commitment to study, mentor with someone who is successful in your chosen home business. Following and learning from someone that has walked this path before you can be wise decision. Have a great, no a grand attitude … a belief in yourself and your home based business. Your mindset has all to do with your success.

Are YOU willing to Make Real Money

After using the Veretekk system for around one year my site's sales soared from $80,000 per year to over $1.5 million. Thanks to you I just sold my business for $1.8 million and I am now officially retired.

Please cancel my account. I am headed to Tahiti via a very slow sail boat with my family and I do not plan on being on the Internet anymore. If I change my mind, you can bet I will be back.

How to Choose a Business That's Right For You

After doing some research with Google I've found some common advice by professionals and Business Mentors to help you reach success!

Choosing a business to start is an important decision. After all, it's a life altering decision that changes nearly every aspect of your life and the lives of those close to you.Because it is so important many people spend a lot of time thinking about it, but delay doing anything concrete about getting started.Who wants to make a wrong choice?

Fear of choosing wrong - and failing - will often keep people stuck in the thinking mode. For years they think. And the day of choosing just never seems to come. You want to avoid this trap.

But how? By not rationalizing the decision too much. You see, ultimately you want to choose a business that makes you the happiest. You want to choose something you'll love to do every day. This means you must first go with the thing that stirs excitable emotions in you. If you think about your decision too long, then you'll never get anywhere. You must choose from the heart, and THEN apply rational thought to your decision. Heart first, then the head. It's important to note that you can't trust the heart to do what's right for the pocketbook. That's why you have that round thing atop your shoulders. Use your heart to choose, then use your head to make sure you've got
a business model that will make money. That’s where a Business Mentor comes into play. They call me the $ Goes Green $ Girl!

Now let's do some "heart" work. Get out some paper and make a list for all of the questions below. Don't think too much about your answers, just write as much as you can without attention to grammar or spelling.

1. Fun List
What events do you like to attend?

Where do you like to go for outings or vacations?
When you have a day all to yourself free from responsibilities, how so you like to spend your time?
If you are currently working, what part of your job do you find most satisfying?
What type of movies do you like? Why do you like these movies?
What kind of music do you like? Why?
This list represents an inside look at your inner child. The core of who you are can often be seen within the answers to these questions. Incorporating your playful self into your work life ultimately gives you the vitality and passion to propel your business upward.

2. Hobbies and Interests
What hobbies or activities do you like to do when you have spare time?
Your list may include time with your children, working on a craft, writing to friends, talking politics, cooking up a great meal... whatever it is, you love doing these things and you could do them for hours on end.
List everything you can think of. Don't worry if your list has some of the same answers that you listed in your Fun List. Recurring themes are a good indicator of your true calling.

3. Reading Material
What books or magazines do you like to read? What subjects interest you? Why do they interest you?
Think about your visits to the local bookstore. What kind of books to you look for? List all the books and subject matter that appeal to you.

4. Strengths Others See In You
Do your friends and family ask you to help them with certain tasks? What are those tasks? Why do they ask for your help?
Do people tell you how good you are at doing something? What do they say?

5. Your Dreams
What have you always wanted to do?
Do you have a dream of starting a specific business but feel held back by a lack of money or a lack of time?
Imagine for a moment that money and time are not an issue any longer. What would you do if there were no limits?

6. A Better Widget
What things frustrate you?
Do certain products just never seem to be the quality you expect?
Have you ever tried to get some information and just couldn't find it easily?
The "frustration factor" is often a great starting point for new businesses.

Make your lists; think about what time, money and commitment you are willing to invest in your business and then get ready for a FREE consultation.

Expect to be listened to and supported to achieve your goals.

Time Management VS Activity Management

Time marches on with or without our permission. Each of us gets 24 hours a day! But we can successfully manage Activity and De-Stress our lives!

Any serious business person knows that we have more to do than hours to do it in. So what’s a person to do? Those of us in Home based business are no exception. Often you balance job, family, social responsibilities and in there somewhere is your personal home business or home internet business.

Traditional time management books sold at the Office Stores lead you through a series of calendars, lists, some goal setting and objectives. The day timer looks very professional but is highly outdated. Ops, no I don’t mean to go to put it on your computer or some fancy cell phone. Notes and plans are spread from office, to kitchen to postems long lost.

How much time each day are you spending on home chores or unimportant things (those tasks that do not move you towards your objective of financial success in your home business). Do constant interruptions impede your progress? And how often have you thought, "I could achieve so much more if I just had another half hour each day." The average person spends the majority of time on those activities that bring in the least results and bring in the largest issues of STRESS.

It’s time to say good-by to Time Management and Hello to Activity Management. Let me explain. We each get 24 hours each day and we spend each moment as we choose. But most often this is done without a real plan in place. When I changed to Activity Management my STRESS Level went down and my productivity went up. Not bad for a fairly simple change in planning.

You can do this yourself without paying for an expensive system. First gather up all your calendars, possums, lists, note books and anything else you think you use to keep yourself organized. Lay them out where you can see the jumbled mess and it will help motivate your change of habits.

Go to an Office Supply Store where they sell different styles of date books. Now you will need to design your own as Activity Management is not sold (although I’m considering it!)

Decide what size binder you will need:
* The tiny one is if you basically have very little going on in your life and is for a very simple undemanding lifestyle.
* Midsize is my choice as it is so easy to carry EVERY WHERE but big enough to really keep all my business, home, church, etc needs in ONE place.
* The large size is like a big portfolio and I find cumbersome to always have with me.

By now you must understand your Day timer goes everywhere you go so you are always on target!

Purchase: Zippered is by far the best, you won’t lose valuable information.
1 yellow highline and one mechanical pencil (never write in ink, it can’t be changed)
12 Month calendar
Weekly calendar (I like the one that runs from early am to mid or later evening M-F and good area for Saturday and Sunday
Daily plan which has on one side the day by the hours and on the other side your to do today, phone calls and emails to make.
Address Book
Items To Do Pages
Goals and Objectives
Note pages
Project Pages
Place for your business cards and brochures if needed.

You may need other sections depending on your business such as:
Clients meeting and follow up
Financial or mileage envelopes
Adjust it to your home based business

Now the fun begins, putting it into motion.

Start with the month:
* Look and fill in the monthly activities, just a quick note on the day
* Next go to the dated weekly: using your pencil mark in personal time, family time, spiritual time, fun and YOUR HOME BUSINESS. (Why is it that everyone thinks those of us that work from home have all this free time to drop whatever we are doing and jump to some non business related task? That would never happen on a ‘straight’ job).
* I use my pencil just to mark in the hours, drawing a line down from say noon to 4 pm for a project. Some of us do much better when we color code our day planers to really make it stand out when we are working and when we are not. I do my best with this method. Green for work, Yellow for family time, etc.
* Take your project sections and list each major project, breaking it down by importance and when due. Also does it have and sub parts to be done. Make sub tasks for them as needed and date due.
Items to do are for those onetime things … like call the tax man. (One step actions). You do it and cross off with your yellow marker.
* Finish filling in sections of ACTIVITIES YOU NEED TO DO … WORK RELATED OR OTHER.
*Last step: Each NIGHT before bed, sit down and look at the day you have completed. Did everything get crossed off with yellow high lighter? (there is a feeling of satisfaction when you see thing crossed off. I mark half through them if started but not finished).
* If not completed do two things: evaluate and more to a better day to manage that activity AND if you see a pattern developing of not completing activities then look to what is the problem. Are you over comiting your day or letting distractions get you off task?
* Always cross each success with your yellow pen and see if Activity Management is not one of the best de-stressors you’ve ever discovered.

Feel free to contact me for advice on this. It changed my life and I hope it will free up your life as well. Time can never be managed but Activities can!

When PC's Crash and Internet Goes Down

No matter what business we’re involved in, there are bound to be times of crisis. Having some idea what to expect and how to react helps us get through these situations more smoothly. If you have an internet driven business having one computer is walking on the edge of suicide (at least in my humble experience). I’ve had times when 3 out of our 4 PCs were down for repair for one reason or another. Also there are those times when outside influences really can knock us down.

Did you know about the Internet cables in the Mediterranean north of Egypt that were cut recently, disrupting service in that area and others further east. At first there were two and today a third became known according to an article at BBC News,
New cable cut compounds tech woes.

Wednesday’s (Jan.31, 2–8) incident caused disruption to 70% of the nationwide internet network in Egypt on Wednesday, while India suffered up to 60% disruption.

1. So when all of a sudden you can’t rely on your PC are you prepared? Think twice and act now!
2. Are you prepared with back-up of your records and inventories?
3. Do you have the copy both on site AND off site?
4. Can you contact your customers without the use of the computer?
5. Do you have the ability to keep in touch with your customers/clients by phone?
6. Are your records up to date with all information for each client, employ or rep?
7. Is any part of your production powered by the Internet?
8. Where will you go or what will you do when it does go down AND it will from time to time.
9. Can you do ordering, filling orders, banking if the Internet goes down?

It’s easy to rely on all our electrical achievements BUT are you taking the time to really prepare to keep your business strong. Send some comments as to your ideas on how to do this for your business and I’ll compile and pass them along.
